Annual Charity Golf Classic Raises More Than $115,000 For Charity
The
Mayor Michael Di Biase Annual Charity Golf Classic, held on Monday,
July 18, 2005 at The Toronto Board of Trade in the City of Vaughan,
raised more than $115,000 for charity. These proceeds will benefit
the Michael Di Biase Charitable Foundation Inc. in support of
the development of a major health-care facility and local charities
in the City of Vaughan.

Vaughan Health-Care Foundation
The
2005 Mayor's Gala presented by Scotiabank Group was
held at the Terrace Banquet Centre in support of the Vaughan Health-Care
Foundation, a registered charity established to take the lead
role in fundraising efforts for a new health-care facility in
the City of Vaughan.

Run For Vaughan Crosses Finish Line
With $55,000 For Proposed Health Care Facility
At the March 21 Council
meeting, Naseer Ahmad, co-chair of fundraising for the Run
for Vaughan organization, presented Vaughan Council with
a cheque for $55,000 from last year's event. The proceeds will
go towards a proposed health care centre in Vaughan.

Vaughan Council Unanimous In Endorsing
Health-Care Facility Plan
Vaughan Council today unanimously
approved The Vaughan Health-Care Facility Planning and Implementation
Study. The study is now ready for submission to the Region and
following that to the province.
